IT BEGINS H UNITED TOSPITAL CENTER Director of Critical Care POSITION SUMMARY Plans, directs, supervises and monitors both fiscal and clinical operations of the critical care unit Develops departmental budget with VP Nursing Develops implements and monitors policies and procedures that guide and support services. Supervises nursing staff and assures staff competency Conducts ongoing assessment of the departments performance and promotes process improvement though strategic project planning. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Coordinates with Medical staff, other nursing units, administration, families and ancillary services to enhance total patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of West Virginia ACLS is preferred and is required within 6 months 5 years Critical Care experience or equivalent required Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills with at least 3 years of hospital leadership experience. of starting this position Can demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
