The Kauffman Family Marketplace is an Amish bulk food and deli store, as well as a lawn furniture and swing set distributor in the Pittsburgh area.
Originally established in 2001, the Marketplace was founded in Burgettstown, PA, by Harlan Kauffman and his wife Esther, who had recently moved to the area from Lancaster, PA. With a background in the retail food industry and a Mennonite heritage, Harlan saw a unique opportunity to provide quality PA Dutch-style products. In July 2001, they launched the Kauffman Family Marketplace with the help of the whole family, including Harlan and Esther's six children and Harlan's parents.
Since then, the Marketplace has grown steadily. The bulk food line has grown to include high quality organics and natural foods, with hard-to-beat prices on popular items like chia seeds, flax seeds, rice flour, vegetable chips, and wheat germ, as well as staples like sea salt, snack mixes, and pistachios.

The deli now includes dozens of meats and cheeses, all fresh imported from Amish country and sliced to order.
The Marketplace now provides a complete selection of wooden and poly lawn furniture, as well as the sturdiest, most durable line of vinyl and wooden swingsets in the industry, all designed and crafted by Amish and Mennonite builders.
Today, the Marketplace continues to improve on its reputation of quality and service. We recognize that our success is due to our customers' enthusiasm and satisfaction, and our job is to make sure that we continue to serve everyone in the best way possible.
