"Columbia Gas employees service our communities MARCH OF DIMES they check meters, turn on service, conduct safety checks and maintenance our pipelines every day, but they are also serving our communities in different ways though employee volunteerism, monetary donations and non-profit partnerships," said Columbia Gas of Pennsyl vania President Mike Huwar As a Company, Columbia Gas has partnered with and contributed to over 200 non-profit organizations throughout the utility's 26 county service territory. In the southwestern Pennsylvania area, Columbia Gas employees have contributed donations and time to many non-profits, including a few of the following: The Washington County United Way administers the Company's employee United Way Campaign. This year Columbia Gas employee donated over $166,000 of their own income to local charities as part of the Campaign. Columbia Gas employees provided natural gas safety training and additional monetary donations to nearly a dozen local,Washington County volunteer fire depart- ments and first responders Local Columbia Gas of Pennsyluania employees participated in and raised funding for the March of Dimes March for Babies community event held at North Strabane Tounship Park Washington County based employees organized a fundraising campaign for Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Company encouraged their fundraising efforts with an additional dollar for dollar match. Thirty Columbia Gas employees volunteered witlh non-profit, the Salvation Army andWTAE's Project Bun- dle-Up to help children in-need shop for warm winter outerwear. not only the safety, but the wellbeing of families in our local neighborhoods," said Huwar.
