"I've loved Encore from the minute I came here," said Colleen Roell, who moved to Encore on the Lake the day the community opened. "I didn't know a soul. Now, Encore members are like family." Though members are all at different points in their life's journey, they are on a common path. Being part of this vibrant community has given them great understanding, compassion and appreciation for each other. Pat Vernau decided she wanted to make Encore her home soon after seeing the architect's drawings of the not-yet-constructed community. "I signed up two years before it even opened," she said. "The good Lord had a plan and brought me to this place, and I am so happy here." "When you come here, it's an encore; you reinvent yourself..."
