hingi A Letter from your Washington County Commissioners regarding the Washington County Small Business & Non-Profit Grant Program 1781 Fellow Washington County Residents: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is creating significant economic hardship for small businesses and non-profits across Washington County, the Board of Commis- sioners have allocated funds provided by the U.S. Federal Government and the Com- monwealth of PA to support small businesses and non-profits. We will be allocating a portion of the County's $18.6 milion Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to support small businesses and non-profit organizations through a county administered grant program called the Washington County Small Business and Non-Proft Relief Grant. The purpose of the Small Business and Non-Profit Relief Grant is to financially assist small businesses and non-profits who were severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board of Commissioners approved the Small Business and Non-Profit Relief Grant program to provide up to $7.5 milon of the federal CARES Act funds in financial assistance to help during these unprecedented and challenging times. Submissions will be accepted from Monday, October 19, 2020 at 12:00 PM to the deadline on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 4:30 PM. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Applicants that received funds from any other source under the CARES Act including but not limited to funds received under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL) are eligible to receive funds and should apply under this program, however, priority will be given to applicants that did not receive such funds. Small businesses and Section 501(cX3) or 501(C)(19) non-profit entity under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Applicant was and/or is negatively impacted by COVID-19, including loss of revenue and other eligible business interruption losses. Applicants must have less than 100 employees to be considered, unless organized as not-for-profit entities under Section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) of the Internal Reve- nue Code or engaged in the tourism industry, in which case they must have 500 or fewer employees. Operate and be domiciled in Washington County. The Board of Commissioners encourages all local businesses who are eligible and in need to apply.
