NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COUNTY OF WASHINGTON SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO THE 2020 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT-CORONAVIRUS PROGRAM Notice is hereby given that the County of Washington (County) has prepared a substantial amendment to the Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This funding is authorized by the "Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act," (CARES Act) which was signed into law on March 27, 2020. In order to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties, the County has placed its proposed amendment on public display online at www.racw.net from July 9-14, 2021. Copies of the document will also be e-mailed or mailed upon request. The proposed amendment will create new activities as follows: 1. Rehabilitation of privately owned properties to provide well-ventilated living space and to respond to living conditions associated with poor health outcomes 2. Rehabilitation of buildings and improvements to facilitate improved indoor air quality and ventilation to improve public health and prevent spread of coronavirus and ensure continued usefulness during future outbreak 3. Reconstruction of public works, facilities and other improvements to provide suitable outdoor fitness and social space in order to support social distancing guidance 4.Provide public health services, including vaccine distribution, and necessary equipment, supplies and materials to effectively deliver said services The proposed amendment would also increase the administrative budget. This amendment would allocate $333,296 unallocated from CDBG-CV1 funding, as well as allocate $1,586,704 of CDBG-CV3 funding received by the County. Comments on the proposed CDBG-CV substantial amendment can be submitted the following ways: 1.
