State Rep. Jesse White, D-Washington/Beaver/Allegheny, was born and raised in Washington County, attending Canon-McMillan and Bethlehem-Center schools. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Washington & Jefferson College in 2000 and a law degree from Duquesne University.
White worked as a law clerk for the firm of Davis and Davis in Uniontown, Pa.; Station Capital Inc. in Washington, Pa.; and in the legal department for the United Steelworkers of America in Pittsburgh. He also interned for the late David L. Gilmore, former president judge of Washington County.
In local government, White served on the Cecil Township Board of Supervisors and was elected chairman of the Cecil Township Board of Auditors.
White is focused on promoting southwestern Pennsylvania as a wonderful place to work, live and raise a family, so that local children have the opportunity to stay in the area when they are ready to join the workforce. He supports funding equity for public schools.
He is a member of Chartiers Lodge No. 297 of F & A.M; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 22; the Alpine Lodge No. 9; Muse Independent Italian Club; St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cecil; and, serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington County Health Partners.
White operates his own law practice in Cecil township, where he also resides with his wife, Eileen.
