Centerville Clinics Salutes Dr. Dimitri Petro On the Occasion of his Retirement Total Healthcare for the Entire Community Dr. Dimitri Petro served the medical needs of residents in the Donora en area for nearly six decades. Born and raised in Donora, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1960, completed his internship at St. Francis Hospital, and served two years in the Navy before opening his medical practice in his hometown in 1963. When Dr. Petro joined the Medical Staff of Centerville Clinics in 2019 his office became Donora Family Medicine. Dr. Petro believed, "The most important skill in medicine is listening to the patient. A doctor has to be compassion- ate in examining the patient. And, you have to go beyond the patient's initial concern or complaint. My job was to listen to my patients and provide them with the best possible medical service." We couldn't agree more! Centerville remains committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive care. Providing the best possible care is in the DNA of Centerville Clinics. From the earliest days of the COVID pandemic Centerville Clinics led the way with COVID-19 screening and testing. Centerville Clinics established respiratory clinics, specially designed following CDC guidelines, to screen and test at-risk patients. Because a COVID-19 test is one of the most important tests you can take - even if you have no symptoms - Centerville Clinics has pop-up testing sites in Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties where you can get tested at no cost to you. When a vaccine was developed, Centerville Clinics took the lead in vaccinating people safely and quickly. We continue to offer vaccinations. Centerville Clinics was one of the first to implement a TeleHealth option so patients at any of our 13 locations could visit with their provider from the safety and comfort of home via a safe and secure service. GHRSA As office visits again became a possibility, Centerville Clinics welcomed patients with single-use masks and waiting room chairs spaced the appropriate six-feet apart as the new safety standards. We have substantially increased cleaning and disinfecting, and hand-sanitizing stations are readily available. We Provide National Award-Winning Healthcare Serving the community is in our DNA. That has never changed. We have a clinic or office near you. We take pride in keeping waiting times to a mini- mum.
