The Dance Conservatory of Pittsburgh is celebrating two years at its new home in the Cool Springs Sports and Performance Complex. DANCE CONSERVATORY of pittsburgh In this short time, DCP has expanded programming to include a Teaching Assistant Program, young boys curriculum and DCP CONNECTS, a performance and outreach program for preprofessionals. This past February, DCP CONNECTS performed for a full house at Walt Disney World. The dancers had the opportunity to partake in private master classes and work within the rehearsal studios at Disney. With all the wonderful experiences aside, what makes DCP exceptional is a shared vision amongst the faculty and artists that reside there. The belief that dance education, performance and outreach provides the opportunity for us to know ourselves better, connect and make a contribution to the community. The Conservatory provides an uncompromising dance education through an integrated, whole-person approach to teaching, curriculum and performance regardless of a student's future aspirations. Thoughtful programming is designed for our youngest artists with room for personal development, creativity and acumen as dancers grow into themselves. The Dance Conservatory of Pittsburgh is not a dance studio, it's a cultural center for dance and movement education with a growing community. DCP is holding Registrations, on site Placements and an Open House Wednesday, July 31th 5-8pm, Thursday, August 1st 5-8pm and Saturday, August 3rd 10am-2.
