About

Welcome everyone to the PONY Baseball page of our website. We want to thank you for checking out this page and invite you to look around and discover PONY Baseball for yourself. PONY was started in 1951 by Lew Hays.

We want to make sure that you learn as much as you can about the baseball experience and fun that our players playing in our leagues from the Shetland division through the Palomino division.

Our traditional Shetland division starts our program at age group four, five, and six. Then players will move to our Pinto division ages seven and eight. After that we have our Mustang division of players age nine and ten. Our Bronco division is eleven and twelve year olds. Our player's then move up to Pony ages thirteen and fourteen. The Colt division is next for player's age fifteen and sixteen, Palomino is our highest division with player's age seventeen, eighteen, and three nineteen year olds are allowed to play in the program.

The “And Under” program starts at Pinto for players eight and-under, Mustang for players ten and-under, Bronco for players twelve and-under, Pony for players fourteen and-under, Colt for players 16 and-under and Palomino for players 19 and under. Please note that players in the baseball and-under program are only allowed to "play up" one division. Also in Palomino And-Under thirteen and fourteen year olds are not permitted to play.

We have just established our Champions division of PONY baseball and we invite you to look at this very closely on the website.

The PONY baseball program was created for all players to be able to participate in baseball. We want to Protect Our Nation's Youth as they grow into young men and women and leaders of tomorrow. PONY is a community based program for everyone in the family to enjoy.

We also invite everybody to look at our umpiring link. We understand that not everyone wants to play baseball but they do love being around the game. This is why PONY also has an Umpiring link on the website and invites all umpires to become a PONY umpire.

If you have question please send them to info@pony.org or call in at 724-225-1060. We thank you for your time and hope that you will keep looking around and come back to visit the site soon.
