NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS COUNTY OF WASHINGTON FIVE YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR PERIOD FY 2020-2024 AND FY 2020 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT PROGRAM Notice is hereby given that the County of Washington (County) is currently preparing its Five Year Consolidated Plan for the period of FY 2020-2024. The County will apply for FY 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The County will conduct public hearings on the use of CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds received from HUD for the five year period FY 2020-2024 and for FY 2020. In accordance with the Final Rule for consolidation of the CDBG, HOME, and ESG Programs, 24 CFR Part 91, et. al., the County will prepare a Consolidated Strategy and Annual Plan, which will be submitted to HUD on or before May 15, 2020. The purpose of these hearings is to obtain the views and comments of individuals and organizations relative to housing and community development needs that may be addressed by CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds during the next five years. The hearings will be held at the following locations and times: DONORA: December 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Location: Council Chambers, Municipal Building 603 Meldon Avenue, Donora, Pennsylvania WASHINGTON: December 23, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. In addition to the above listed public hearings, the County has created an online Housing and Community Development Needs survey for residents, business owners, housing providers, service providers, and other interested parties and stakeholders to complete to help identify the most critical needs in the County. The County expects to publish a summary of its proposed Five Year Consolidated Plan for FY 2020-2024 and Annual Action Plan for FY 2020 on or about March 15, 2020.
