Vintage Farm Antique Vintage Farm Antiques...let me tell you about us. Let me paint you a picture, imagine a multi- generational group sitting down on a patio. There are people sitting on metal lawn chairs, a few on the stone wall by the oak tree, the elders are swinging on the wooden swing, while the kids are playing. Grandma yells, "be careful you all, someone is gonna get hurt" and grandpa sighs while smoke swirls from his pipe. Today, Grandma and Grandpa are gone, and our parents are in their "golden years" and what better way to relive these memories is to visit Vintage Farm Antiques(VFA) ín Atlasburg. VFA brings back those memories and perhaps you will find a need to take a memory or two home with you. "Grandma had it, Mom threw it away, I bought it back". My mother, Lila retired last year, and I saw that she needed something to keep her busy and socializing with people. Then there is Aunt Mona, love my Aunt Mona. She is the most creative and talented person I know; she can envision it and then create it. Finally, my cousin Kami, of course she inherited her crochet talent and creativity from her mom, my Aunt Mona. Now, I know, the suspense is killing you to know what we have in the shop. VFA has an assort- ment of antiques, vintage kitchen ware, glassware, books, toys, handmade items, new gift items and some truly unique pieces. Let's talk about the vendors now. Of course, Aunt Mona and Kami bring a lot of Fiesta, crochet, and vintage pieces. VA Va Vintage is one of my favorite vendors, the owner is so talented, and her work is AMAZING! You must see her refurbished secretary; it is one of a kind. Wilsenn Woodworking brings farmhouse woodworking to the shop, including flags with hand carved stars, cutting boards and furniture. Rullo Woodworking is unbelievably detailed and We have handmade jewelry, and you certainly can find a piece to fit you perfectly. Another ven- dor, I have known since we were teens (that was a long time ago) and we raised our children in 4-H together. She reached out to join us, and her booth is lovely filled with unique vintage piec- es. We have a lot of consigners too. We have antique fishing gear, temptation dishes, depression glass, handmade cards, copper craft items, vintage toys, candles, resale child's clothes, and some antique furniture. The best way to discover all we have is to visit Vintage Farm Antiques. About a month ago, we were at an estate sale, I bought an antique rocking chair. It was in beautiful shape, certainly loved a lot. As the elderly gentleman loaded it in my car, he smiled and said, "this was my grandmother's". I felt entrusted with a part of his story, and now it will be someone else's story. The most cherished find of our vintage quests was an old hymnal, and as I opened it, I found a note in it written by my grandmother to the choir director, this brought such joy and sadness as I miss her so much. That's what Vintage Farm Antiques is all about. Karen oyne, owner of Vintage Farm Antiquest Vintage Farm Antique Vintage Farm Antiques...let me tell you about us.
