Meet Our New Provider: Amber Young, RN, FNP-C Wound Care, Nurse Practitioner WHS is excited to announce that Amber Young, RN, FNP-C has rejoined the Washington Health System team in June of 2022. Ms. Young was previously an RN for the WHS Washington Hospital and AHN. In her new role at WHS, she will provide care to patients in our area as a nurse practitioner at the WHS Wound and Skin Healing Center. Can you tell us about yourself? "I earned my BSN and MSN from Wheeling Jesuit University and had the pleasure of completing all my precepting and training at WHS in the GI, surgical, and wound care departments. In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, I was also a teacher and a family-based therapist for over twenty years. As you can see, I'm very passionate about choosing careers where I can help others." What do you do outside of work? "When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and two beloved cats, Biscuit and Onion. I also love walking all the beautiful nature trails in Washington County and listening to bagpipe music."
