Prior reporting experience at a newspaper or a bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field are required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with solid reporting and writing skills, capable of writing on deadline. General assignments may include meeting or spot news coverage, features or entertainment writing. Experience in court coverage is a plus, and basic photography, computer and social media skills are essential. Shifts vary and are dependent upon assignments. Some night and weekend work is included, as well as some holidays.
