Public Notice Notice is hereby given that the Pennsylvania-American Water Company (PAWC), 852 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 550-1610 (phone), intends to make application to the PA Department of Environmental Protection for modification to an existing Water Quality Management Permit, in a manner which meets Department requirements, from its facility located in Union Township, Washington County. The project includes the construction of a new (second) residuals clarifier at PAWC's existing E.H. Aldrich Water Treatment Plant in Elrama, Pennsylvania. The project also includes a new electrical / polymer feed building and new sludge pumps. Clarified residuals will be discharged to the Monongahela River in accordance with the plant's existing discharge permit. This application is made under the provisions of the Clean Streams Law, the Actof June 22,1937, P.L. 1987,as amended.
